Rail Travel Makes for Alternative Spring Break 2011

ATLANTA (January 14, 2010) – “Some of Europe’s most delightful cities are best discovered during the off-season,” according to Bram Majtlis, President of Austrian Airlines Vacation Center, which offers a wide variety of vacation packages to Europe. “Early in the year, there are no crowds, no lines…and you’ll get to experience different cities like a local!”

For students – and most other travelers - a popular (and easy) way to travel in Europe is by rail, and Austrian Airlines Vacation Center has created its well-priced Train Trio package just in time for Spring Break 2011.

Travelers get to choose one of three city combinations: Amsterdam, Berlin & Prague; Amsterdam, Berlin & Warsaw; or Prague, Berlin & Warsaw, and travel is valid until March 31. Each ten-day Train Trio itinerary includes roundtrip economy-class air on Austrian Airlines from New York (JFK) or Washington (IAD), second-class, one-way rail between the three European cities you select, plus three consecutive nights hotel accommodation in each city in your package (9 nights total). Priced at $2,019 per person, double occupancy, the vacation package also includes daily buffet breakfast, hotel service charges and hotel taxes. Extension nights and upgrades are available upon request.

All Train Trio packages must be paid in full within 7 days after reservations are confirmed, and no later than 14 days prior to departure. Once confirmed, the packages are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be changed. All packages will be booked on Austrian Airlines in economy class and are subject to schedule and space availability. Your maximum stay in Europe is 30 days, and all travel must be completed by March 31, 2011. Train Trio package prices include fuel surcharges, but they do not include US Customs / INS / Aphis fees / International Transportation Tax / Passenger Facility Charges / Civil Aviation Security Fee / domestic and foreign Security and Airport Charges of up to approximately USD $175 per passenger. Additional taxes and fees may be collected by foreign governments. All taxes / fees / surcharges are subject to change and exchange rate fluctuations and may vary on the day of booking.
