London Pass "Crowns" Its One Millionth Customer

The London Pass celebrated their one-millionth sale  of their ‘smart-card’ sightseeing passes last week. One lucky American family of 5 from Long Beach, CA unknowingly bought the one-millionth London Pass and was treated to an exclusive VIP day in London last Saturday that included:

  • The chance to feed the giraffes at ZSL London Zoo
  • Joining Beefeaters at The Tower of London in the historic Ceremony of the Keys
  • Lifting the Tower Bridge to allow boats to pass beneath, bringing part of the city to a standstill

The family was also chauffeured for the day by their own London black taxi and cabby so they could enjoy all the London Pass has to offer. In addition to those wonderful treats, the family enjoyed lunch at the original Hard Rock café, followed by a coveted tour of their Vault – a special collection of iconic memorabilia, and dinner at Gaucho restaurant.

For your reference, the London Pass ( www.londonpass.com ) allows users free and easy access to some of the City’s top sightseeing destinations, saving tourists time and money.  Available from just one day to six, the passes cost approximately $65 per adult and $44 per child per day.

We bought a London Pass the last time we visited because it offers great value and gives you the ability to plan in advance, so thought we’d take the opportunity to see even more of London this time. But we certainly never dreamed we’d get the full VIP treatment.”

The family were given use of their own London black taxi and cabby for the day to get the very most from their London Pass. Among the special treats laid on was the opportunity to push the button to bring part of the city to a standstill – by lifting Tower Bridge.

The Stoeckles also enjoyed lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe with a private tour of its vault packed with music memorabilia and dinner at the Gaucho restaurant at Tower Bridge.

Amanda Truman, director of product marketing, Leisure Pass Group added:
“The Stoeckles are typical London Pass users so it is fantastic they took the honor of becoming our one millionth customers. Dan and Renee said they were very keen for the kids to experience London’s history up close, which is why they bought the pass; we’re happy we could bring things to life even more.”

“We have grown incredibly in the last ten years and much of that success is down to the efforts of our trade and retail partners who sell the London Pass. They can rest assured the preparations for celebrating our two millionth sale are well under way!”
