Straddling the Bismarck, Coral, and Solomon Seas as well as part of the Pacific Ocean´s so-called "Coral Triangle," this country´s reefs offer some spectacular underwater sights an excellent visibility, with many of the main dive sites clustered in the fjords around Tufi (a three-hour flight from capital Port Moresby) and Milne Bay (90 minutes by air). Highlights include barracuda, hammerhead sharks, manta and eagle rays, scorpionfish, octopi, and of course an amazing variety of exotic corals.
