About an hour and half south of Muscat, near the town of the same name, this limestone pool in the desert - about 50 by 70 metres (164 by 230 feet) in size and 20m (66 ft.) deep - is popular with locals for a cool dip. And you may get your toes gently nibbled by tiny fish!
