UNESCO-World-Heritage Bahla Fort

At the foot of the Jebel Akhdar mountains, this huge mud-brick complex was built between the 12th and 15th centuries by the ruling Nabhani dynasty, whose capital the surrounding oasis town was at the time, and was restored in the late 1990s.
