A top beach town on Malaysia's Langkawi Peninsula, Pantai Tengah has many restaurants, clubs and resorts, but does not boast many shopping opportunities apart from a small complex which houses a number of souvenir outlets situated along the beach strip. While duty-free shops in Langkawi are well-frequented for their cheap chocolates, cosmetics, and liquor, handmade souvenirs, Knick knacks and handicrafts still remain relatively pricey.
