Kyoto´s famous Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) temples

To visit Kyoto is to experience Buddhist temple overload, and this is one of the most reknowned, built in 1397 and reconstructed in 1955 after a fire. One of its most notable features is that much of it is covered in actual gold leaf.
