Great example of Adventure Tourism in Japan

Canyons Japan is run by New Zealander Mike Harris, the hard to miss kiwi who stands at 6ft something with viking like features and impressively long ginger dreadlocks is spearheading the revival of Minakami Machi - a previously declining onsen town in the mountains of Gunma and in the process, forging the way for sustainable adventure tourism throughout the country, acting as an advisor to various tourism bodies involved in boosting the quality and profile of this growing sector in Japan.
