Latvia's dramatic medieval Cēsis Castle

About an hour and a half northeast of Riga, this is perhaps the country's most iconic (and best preserved) castles, built in the early 13th century by the Livonian Brothers of the Sword, an order of warrior monks (yeah, that was very much a thing back then). So atmospheric!
