Bacon's Castle - Nothing to do with beloved fried pork produdts, but still quite tasty. Out in the bucolic Virginia countryside, this architectural gem was built by a wealthy merchant and planter in 1665 and restored for public visits in 1983. It gets its name from the 1676 Bacon’s Rebellion against the colony's governor, and features a fascinating reconstructed garden. Reopened this year after ....
