As a tour guide at San Juan Puerto Rico, I have seen many families traveling and feel that it is simply wonderful to see families getting together to do anything.
In a world where families are doing different things it is great to see them getting together.
I remember one family that visited Puerto Rico after 30 years. You see the husband-father-grandfather (now no longer with us) used to work as a Professor at the University. He lived in San Juan and his two daughters were born in San Juan.
One day he went back to the states (USA) . Many years went by and one day the Professor left us.
A few years later his wife-mother-grandmother decided that he wanted her daughters to see where they were born, where their father worked.
Grandmother lives in Illinois, one daughter lives in California and the other daughter lives in Norway.
Well they all met in San Juan and went to see this very special place. They even thought that they might see their ex-neighbor Jose.
Well after seeing the areas and some tears and laughters, guess who open the door, yes...Jose..
That moment of joy will never be forgotten by this family.
This family combined this special event with sightseeing and had a great experience.
