This country is home to some 40 institutions of higher education, including eight universitie, five technological universities, and several institues and colleges. And it´s ranked number six in the world in terms of the quality of its system of higher education, with high standards of academic excellence, student satisfaction, and post-graduation employment prospects. And as such, Ireland attracts tens of thousands of foreign students each year; the most recent published figure is nearly 45,000 for the 2024/2025 academic year, up ten percent from the previous year, and it´s estimated that as many as 10,000 of these receive some degree of scholarship support, from partial to full.
While there are multiple scholarships to choose from, many prospective candidates fail to know about one particular aspect of their scholarship process, and that is eligibility for scholarships. Without meeting the eligibility criteria, students will not be eligible to receive the scholarship necessary to support their studies abroad at their chosen universities.
