Luba Bay has a handful of cove beaches where you might be the only people on the sand, including Arena Blanca, the only white-sand beach amid the black-volcanic-sand strands of Biokio Island. It´s also home to seasonal giant-sea-turtle nestings (November to March) and hatchings (January to May), as well as swarms of breeding butterflies in the thousands every December to February.
