After the memorable performance of U2, Rome will offer another world-class music event in October: three piano concerts by the incredibly young Chinese talent Lang Lang.
Unfortunately, we didn’t write about the Irish band concert because tickets were sold out many weeks before the start of this blog but there is still plenty of room to see Lang Lang in Accademia di Santa Cecilia on October 23, 24 and 25. The program showcases music by Rossini (Semiramide: Ouverture), Chopin (Piano Concert n. 1), and Berlioz (Symphonie Fantastique).
Founded in 1585, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia is one of the oldest musical institutions in the world. For centuries, it attracted the attention of the popes, ensuring its prominence in Rome with regard to cultural events. The Orchestra’s new home – the state-of-the-art Auditorium/Parco della Musica – was designed by internationally acclaimed Italian architect Renzo Piano and is made up of 3 separate venues and an outdoor amphitheatre.
You can buy tickets at the Ticket Office of Auditorium/Parco della Musica in 30, Viale Pietro de Coubertin from 11 am to 8 pm every day or online at www.listicket.it
