This might not be the first place that springs to mind when it comes to a summer getaway, but when the summer sun kisses Scandinavia´s smallest country, all of it blossoms into a captivating and welcoming paradise, with its peak in July. Imagine long, sunny days filled with outdoor adventures (including more than 150 sometimes suprisingly good beaches) and cozy evenings basking in the golden twilight. It's also a time for wonderful Danish celebrations and festivals.

And
capital Copenhagen is of course a gem, and this small country is packed with marvelous other cities and towns well worth a visit all year round, such as Aarhus with its cultural scene; Odense with its literary heritage; and Ribe, the country's oldest town, with its medieval vibe and Viking history. But these are the places which in my opinion best embody the glory of Danmark in the summer.
