Secure Flight Program

It appears that American Airlines is the first airline to participate in the Secure Flight Program. Don't forget you will now need to provide 'Gender', 'Date of Birth' and your 'Name' (as it appears on whatever government issued ID you will be using at the airport). So if you have a profile of information with any airline, you should make sure that information is now included. If your profile is not up to date, it could cause some delays getting through security. This is a new program requires by the Transportation Security Administration. The TSA will begin collecting this information within 3 days prior to each departing flight. American Airlines is the first airline they've selected. As of right now, for security reasons, the TSA will not release who the next airline will be or when it will begin collecting the data. So be prepared to give this information to all of the airlines within the next few months. If anyone has any first hand experience with how this is being handled upon check-in or through security, please share that with us.
