I work with Bescover.com , where we work with many inns and innkeepers. Today I met a wonderful innkeeper that has quite the charming personality. Upon the visit, we talked to many guests who had been traveling to his inn for over 20 years, and new guests who truly enjoyed his company and interactions. In my eyes, he is a big selling point to the already beautiful inn. While visiting the inn website, their was no mention of him or any innkeeper bio; my question is, would reading about an innkeeper bio influence your stay at a B&B? Positive and negative points welcome, thanks.

  • Absolutely.... I've just spent a couple of days at a B&B in Twisp....superb and a blog is coming about it... we read a bio about the innkeeper and the property before booking....

  • We have information about us on our website (see www.birdwood.co.nz/AboutUs4.html) but more important I believe is what Guests say about you - see the Guest Book page www.birdwood.co.nz/GuestBook9.htm).

    • Thanks for your input Barbie. Guests comments will always be more important per se than a bio; however, I do find that the uniqueness and experience of an innkeeper go a long way in choosing lodging. Thank you for the links to your site, you have a lovely bio. Bio's can give the traveler a good idea of the atmosphere of the inn.
