It's not just of backpackers. After one retires, one begins to keep an eye in the digital wallet so to speak. I was recently chaperoning a person around who had fallen I'll in a foreign country, without any travel insurance. Needless to say, with even a basic travel insurance package, the person would not need a fellow traveler to chaperone them around.
