Airlines flunk social media

Marketwatch reports that in this past year, 57% of social media comments about American carriers, especially the large, legacy carriers, were negative. American Airlines was the most reviled. 97% of comments about Virgin America Airlines were positive, while only 12% of remarks about American Airlines were positive. Is this sustainable?
