Mt. Marcy Summit in One Day
Photojournalist will be hiking the highest point (5,344 ft) in New York State.
 
 - Mt. Marcy, September 21-23, 2012.
 
 Trip will include staying at the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) bunkhouse at Adirondack Loj, and traversing the 7-mile Van Hoevenberg Trail, High Peaks Wilderness Area, New York, gaining 3600 feet of elevation gain and returning in the same day. The journey is steep, rocky and demanding.

      Thanks Ed, I am looking forward to it. I've been training in the Ramapo Hills in NJ. I'm going out for another 7 miles tomorrow.
