Wastin´ away again at the spa in the Dominican Republic´s Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana

Luxebeatmag.com Wellness-minded travelers will appreciate the resort’s St. Somewhere Spa, where healing and holistic treatments begin with a fabulous hydrotherapy circuit “guided water experience” designed to soothe, comfort, and ease away stress. I have experienced dozens of spas over the years, the St. Somewhere Spa makes my top three spa list - which says a lot! The service began as we were guided through a sauna, then eucalyptus steam room, a red-light therapy shower, followed by a series…

Deerfield Deerfield Retreat & Spa in Pennsyvania's Pocono Mountains

Admittedly, I'd never heard of Lo-Wei, a unique exercise class that combines yoga, strength training and flexibility that stretched my body in ways my mind never thought possible. But it is only one of almost three dozen fitness classes, all part of the dawn-to-dusk workout, weight loss, and education focus of the one-of-a-kind, all-inclusive Deerfield Health Retreat and Spa in East Stroudsburg, in the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania, where my friend Kathy and I spent three nights a while…

  • We are creating a 'jungle' spa in our gardens. Should be ready for the end of the year.Hotel Mocking Bird Hill
  • Has anyone gone To Canyon Ranch in Tucson lately?  What are the good classes (advanced), hikes, treatments?
  • I'm doing an article on spa food. I have recipes from spas worldwide, but in the process of updating this information as my publisher want's it to feature more dishes and jpgs.

I need to tell a little about the spa, location, etc. and then feature the recipe and a jpg.

If you would like to send one or two dishes from your spa menu, please send to mdhill@noralyn.com and put Spa Recipes in the subject line.  It is fine to include the philosophy of the spa and a couple of photos.

This publication is seen by ove 1.5 million per month. The radio interview will have between 25,000 to 75,000--it varies.

    Thanks in advance.

The "Eat Pray Love" frenzy continues and for those who have been inspired to set off on their own soul-searching adventure in Indonesia Kamandalu Resort has come up with their own version of Elizabeth Gilbert's story...(cont.).

The package is available from September 2010 thru July 2011 and sounds like a nice balance of experiencing the movie's theme while still leaving room for a personalized experience, and if you were really inspired by the movie you can enter their contest and potentially win a trip for free. Otherwise there's a minimum two night stay required with rates ranging from $280 - $440/night, depending on which villa you choose. Let yourself go!

  • We're looking to identify spas in Thailand especially Bangkok. If anybody knows of any we should consider including in upcoming itineraries please reply. Thanks! Elena
  • Spas are, with the recession, becoming their own worst enemy. Over-pricing, badly-trained staff, laissez-faire attitude. Spas are supposed to be stress-relieving. I, who for more than 25 years have been reporting on and reviewing spas, health resorts and holistic centres, am becoming dis-illusioned and very cross! Love to know your views. • Brenda Hill and I are working on a column featuring spa cuisine. If you have any clients that feature spa cuisine with their spas, we would like to hear from you at mdhill@noralyn.com.

What we would need is the following:
1 or 2 recipes and accompanying jpegs
    Chef bio and jpeg
A paragraph or two about the property and website.

This feature will be announced in a mailing to 260,000 as well and be featured on a food page that gets 1.6 million visitors a month. It will also be linked to our own "Where and What in the World" blog and syndicated on several networks and through social media.

We are also looking for some easy pool side appetizers for another column and the requirements are the same.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Again, you can contact me at mdhill@noralyn.com.
