Cruising can be one of the most value-friendly vacations going. But how the heck do you choose from all the choices out there? Here are some resources (including non-traditional cruising, like freighters) and feedback.
How Princess Cruises is servIng up innovative dining
The exclusive dining experience on the Princess Discovery is unlike any other I have been a part of during my travels. "360: An Extraordinary Experience" is dining immersion making one feel like you’re sitting in the Greek countryside with olive trees or smelling the fragrance of lavender in the south of France. Thanks to Princess Cruises, I savored this time with fellow bloggers. I immediately became captivated with the experience when I heard beautiful music played by two violinists and…

There are two ways to save:
one is to get together with 1 or more other people and hire a local taxi or van to take you to the places you want to see (be sure he speaks your language and determine the price before you get in). The other is to go to our website www.smallshipcruises.com and on theh home page you will see a link to book shore excursions ahead of time yourself for the ports you will be visiting.

Cruisecritic.com polled more than 2,000 people on this question: What's the best way to spend a day in port? Some of the answers surprised me: Only about 24% take a cruise-sanctioned shore excursion; 50% explore independently.
So here's my question -- and it's an issue cruisecritic.com also raises:
Would more people take those cruise-sanctioned shore excursions if they were priced more reasonably?
On Ask A Travel Pro, a Tripatini members has a question about a prospective river cruise in Europe. If you'd like to help her out, please click on this link.
Thanks much!
Hi, I would lile to introdce myself, I am Cara Bertoia and my husband is Ray and we love cruises. We worked on cruise ships for many years. We met on a cruise ship and we even wrote a book about our adventures called Cruise Quarters – A Novel About Casinos and Cruise Ships.
I have cruised to most of the continents and the Carribean. Ray has spent most of his time cruising in Europe. My favorite cruise was Northern Europe and Russia.
We also walked 500 miles across Spain. Our movie of the trip, Camino De Santiago - A Walker's Guide, is a popular guide to the Camino. You can find us at www.caminovideo.com or on Amazon.
Thanks,
Cara B
In a world of ups and downs, right and left, good and bad, you never really know what you are going to get.
I have seen safe and unsafe everywhere I go. I really can not defend anyone cause I Iknow that we all have made mistakes some where along the way.
I can only tell you that we at Countryside tours do our best to make sure that everything goes well.
Sometimes its not easy but we will try our best to do the right thing, to be reliable, punctual, accomodating and do the best we can.
DONT WORRY BE HAPPY
A fellow Tripatini member has a question as to whether independent shore excursion operators (i.e. those not vetted by or affiliated with a cruise line) are safe and reliable. If you'd like to offer observations and/or advice, please respond by clicking on this link to Ask a Travel Pro.
Thanks much!!
