  • Well, I certainly don't have anything against nav systems -- I found one invaluable in Maui not long ago, for example. Just as long as it doesn't involve fumbling around while driving!
  • Not only is it a terrible idea (for road safety) but it is also illegal in some states. Illinois just passed a law making it illegal to text or look at the Internet while driving.
  • Did anybody catch today's NYT piece re plans to install computer "infotainment systems" in car dashboards? Is there anyone who thinks this is a good idea? If even now I sometimes get a little nervous about getting on I-95 with all the idiots texting and putting on makeup and whatnot, what happens when they're looking at a restaurant review or squinting at the name off a song being played? Should be an interesting driving season this year...
