Shibuya AXSH!
Tokyo's Shibuya district, famous for its iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing, where between 1,000 and 3,000 people crowd the crossing on an average signal change, is one of the most dynamic and modern areas of the city. Now, adding to the newness comes Shibuya AXSH! This 23-story multi-use complex is scheduled to open on July 8, 2024, at the intersection of Aoyama and Shibuya wards. It will house restaurants, retail shops, art galleries, and business offices. The retail, food and beverage establishments, art gallery and public art, as well as a "health check" center will be located on the 1st to 4th floors. An atrium, rich in greenery, will connect the first and second floors. There is even a "vertical garden" being installed on the ceiling of the second floor that further enhances the garden feel of the entire space. Two new plazas are being created as entrances to the area, one in the direction of Shibuya Station and the other in the direction of Aoyama.
In the plaza in the direction of Shibuya Station (SHIBU Spot),a large see-through screen and food trucks are being set up.
In the plaza in the direction of Aoyama (AO Spot), NANZUKA Co., Ltd. is setting up a contemporary art gallery and art bar, and NANZUKA PUBLIC, a public art project, is creating opportunities for visitors to experience art in various ways. Artwork will be exhibited continuously, changing two to three times a year, and the first piece will be a work by the world-renowned French artist Jean Jullien.
