BRUSSELS AIRLINES INTRODUCES FLEXIBLE REBOOKING OPTIONS

Offering a wide range of waivers for flight rebooking in response to client requests

  • Up until March 31, buyers of new tickets will also be able to rebook once without incurring additional fees.
  • Flights already scheduled with an April 30 departure date are rebookable once until December 31.

More flexible rebooking options are now being offered by Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Air Dolomiti. The new comprehensive rebooking waiver policy is in effect for all current and future reservations made anywhere in the world.

General rebooking choice for upcoming reservations:

Regardless of the circumstances of the initial booking ticket obtained, Brussels Airlines and the Lufthansa Group airlines will immediately eliminate all rebooking costs for all newly booked flights globally through 31 March 2020. In the future, passengers will not be charged a rebooking fee if they change their trip dates before December 31, 2020.

Rebooking of previous reservations is possible:

For tickets bought before 5 March with a travel date up to 30 April 2020, the revised waiver policy for existing bookings is applicable globally. No rebooking fee is required for passengers to change their reservations to a new date up until December 31, 2020, regardless of the original booking fare's condition.

The airports of departure and destination shall be the same for purposes of both waiver programmes. The appropriate difference is due in the event that the original fare is no longer offered. Before the original departure date, a new reservation must be made.

With the implementation of this new waiver policy, Brussels Airlines and the other Lufthansa Group airlines are granting the requests of numerous customers who wish to help them make their travel arrangements more flexible in light of the unusual circumstances brought on by the spread of the coronavirus.
