@Northeast News - it has nothing to do with either social media per se nor with msm types per se. The humor of it has to do basically with any group of individuals who misuse or OCD on a movement in technology. That's all. It's about the medium becoming the message and obstructing communication when people lose all perspective. .
This is the funniest thing I've seen in awhile. I'm not sure the problem is new media, however (after all, we're all here), and we are okay! Instead, what makes this ridiculous and very funny is the overarching egos of the preening old media reporters in this video who are all too eager to promote themselves rather than the story.

This is hysterical, but also shows the problem with new/social media. If you are an adherent which are you going to follow? Makes old media look so simple. But then I long for the days when telephones came in black and only let you make and receive calls.
