No matter how you figure it, it is a long flight from the East Coast of the United States to Hong Kong, the major gateway to Asia.  How long?  About 16 hours, longer if there are delays but most flights are non-stop to Hong Kong.  From Hong Kong there are flights to all the major Asian cities. So if you are set for a long flight and can’t afford Business First fly Continental.  Of the American carriers it is the best.  The planes are new, all with back of the seat in-flight entertainment, pillows, blankets, and great in-flight service. Even in economy passengers are given a menu.  A typical evening meal starts with a salad of mixed greens with cucumber, hard-boiled egg, and smoked salmon, followed by a choice of a beef or chicken entrée, and a cookie for dessert.  Midflight enjoy a turkey hot dog croissant sandwich with Hagen-Dazs ice cream, and before landing they offer a light meal with a choice of eggs or noodles.  Other snacks and drinks are available upon request during the flight.

To make traveling with Continental more enjoyable visit their Continental Airlines President’s Club at the airport. The Newark club is huge with showers, a variety of seating options including a TV Room, Family Room and plenty of seats with views of the airport.  They offer a large selection of private workstations, showers, conference rooms, a fitness center, and business center.  There is a bar and a variety of complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. It’s a long flight.
