Delhi has been, since historical times, remained a favoured destination for shoppers. From traditional bazaars to modern-day swanky malls, Delhi has everything to offer to a customer. It has a rich cultural diversity due to which it has become a shopping hub. In Delhi you can find any quality/quantity of items from low to high.
I would like to thank Hotel "The Beaufort Inn" for telling us about the local markets which are in South Delhi. I will suggest all our readers that if they are visiting Delhi than do checkout their hotel (Visit their website). The hotel staff is very friendly and can guide you if you are new in Delhi.

The three main shopping markets immensely popular are
1) Lajpat Nagar Market
2) Khan Market
3) South Extension Market

1) Lajpat Nagar Market

Lajpat Nagar Market is a popular shopping place in South Delhi and is well connected by road as well as by metro. A lot of malls have come up in Delhi for branded shopping but this place retains it's charm as the real street market. You find both hawkers, shopping centers and retail shops here and lots of food items and snacks. You will find a wide variety of choices be it in shoes , jewellery , bags , clothes and that too in great prices.

2) Khan Market

This is not a market for your daily needs. But everything imported and insignificant can be found in this relatively silent market. Cobblestoned pavements lead to branded and non branded showrooms.Khan market has great variety of international fruits , veggie, fashion designer shop n good cafe like the coffee beans & Tea leaf & international bar. Durning the festival of Diwali you can find it very attractive as it decorated those days.

3) South Extension Market
South Ext Market is a posh market in South Delhi.South Extension market is one of the upscale markets after CP. Its not as big, at the same time its not as crowded as CP. There are limited but good shops for apparels, jewelry etc. and restaurants.

Note: These Markets are closed on Monday.
