Governor Diego Velázquez was so overawed by lush beauty of this fabulous part of Cuba that he decided to call it the Jardines del Rey (King’s Gardens) in honour of the Spanish monarch Ferdinand the Catholic. And this Spanish explorer could not have thought of a more suitable name for the chain of islands containing Cayo Coco, as they truly do reign supreme amongst the many stunning paradisiacal spots to be found on the spectacular island of Cuba, the largest of the Antilles.

The island of Cayo

The minute I stepped into the lobby, I knew this was going to be a special vacation.

I took in the fresh scent of lemongrass as I eyed the beautiful surroundings – check in desks to the left, softly curtained sitting areas to the right and the bright blue water of an infinity pool in the back. On the beautiful white sand beaches of Cancun this 260 room Palace resort  is 25 minutes from the  airport in the  hotel zone within walking distance to a Flea Market, Mall and restaurants. But you will ha

Negril has always had a free-spirited reputation, so its no surprise that the famous Seven Mile Beach is a magnet for topless -- and sometimes nude -- sunbathing. You can catch a glimpse of extra flesh almost anywhere along this strand, but especially around the Hedonism II and Breezes Grand (formerly Grande Lido Negril) resorts, each of which has its own nude beaches.

Are All-Inclusive Resorts for You?

All-inclusive resorts are found all over the Caribbean plus parts of Mexico and Latin America, and whether they’re luxury, affordable, adults-only, couples, family, or any other flavor, they offer good value – at least sometimes. I recently returned from Mexico, where four Real Resorts(pronounced “ray-ALL,” Spanish for “royal”) in Cancun and on the Riviera Maya are offering discounts of 20% or more for any dates from December 24, 2010, through 2011. My in-box regularly beeps with offers from oth
