In today’s world, where emails and smart phones often replace face-to-face interaction, traveling makes us get out and connect with humanity. Traveling changes our scenery. When we travel, we leave our daily routine and see new things which stimulate our mind and encourag

9008631097?profile=originalI’m at the end of my first week of studying Spanish in charming Heredia after taking a few weeks of classes at the Sámara Beach Campus and have tried to take advantage of being in a city again!

Yogi I am not, but since trying yoga in Sámara, I decided to look for a class while I studied Spanish in Heredia.

I didn’t have to look very hard; my host family “brother” invited me to his yoga class my first night at the house.  So the next day after Spanish classes, I went home to meet up with Andy and

Tantric Yoga is kind of touchy.

The ancient Hindu practice gets a lot of press for its sexual image. However, if you delve deeper than the popular hype, you find that the 1,600-year-old ritual is not concerned with sexuality, but rather the goal of Tantric Yoga is to awaken and harmonize the male and female aspects within each person on a spiritual level, according to Yoga World.

There are so many different elements and schools of thought on Tantric Yoga that I started researching and was quickly

Balace your life with yoga!

Twisting yourself into a pretzel is what many people think of when they hear the word “yoga.”

Yoga-02-200x300.jpg?width=200Yoga is the “in” thing in the western world over recent years as people look to ease stress, find ways to relax and live healthier lifestyles.

Yoga, though, is actually more than just the physical; it is a mental and spiritual discipline as well, stretching back 6,000 years ago to ancient India, and associated with meditative practices in Hinduism and Buddhism.

Yoga, in Sanskrit, can be loosely translated

Last time on the article Body and Mind in balance: Yoga! I had the chance to highlight the number of benefits yoga can bring to our lives and how wonderful is to combine it with a perfect vacation in a secluded paradise beach in Costa Rica as it is Santa Teresa.

A Yoga Vacation for Ultimate Relaxation

The reasons most people go on vacation are predominantly to relax, and get away from the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives. However, with all the stress involved of packing and preparing your vacation, just going away for a week or two can be anything but relaxing. Airports, forgetting things, delays, being around other travelers and so much more can cause unnecessary stress before we even get to our destination, and then again on the way back home. Travel stress is almost impossible to

I began my Spanish courses at the Intercultura beach campus in Sámara, one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever been.  I took part in the dance classes, cooking classes, took a few surfing lessons and walked the beach.  The one thing that I didn’t do my first week? Yoga.

So, I finally went.  Reluctantly.

Years of playing volleyball, lacrosse and running track made me quite competitive so yoga and all that stretching and that OOOM meditating business never appealed to me much.  Even so, my newf
