Its beaches are among the most beautiful in the world, the island is in a great location where it benefits from a superb weather all year long, and it is the perfect place for honeymoons due to its utterly relaxing lifestyle and the romantic places it harbors. Seychelles has been exclusively covered as top destination by media from several countries and is particularly favored by couples for weddings and honeymoons.

Due to its popularity, the rates charged by hotels in Seychelles has kept on increasing over the past years. Many people take a quick look at these prices and often abandon the idea of visiting the Seychelles to look for a cheaper destination. However, it is relatively straightforward to find affordable prices in the Seychelles as long as you know what you are doing.

There are a few methods of finding cheaper hotels that will provide excellent value for money:

Try to find hotels Seychelles packages that include accommodation and other facilities such as activities or tours of the islands. These are always cheaper than paying for everything separately.

It is arguably cheaper to book your hotel through a website comparison service instead of doing so directly through the hotel website. Travel agent websites are more likely to offer cheaper prices as hotels are inclined to charge as much as possible.

As with any other destination, you should book your hotel as early as possible but this is even more important for travel Seychelles bundles which tend to run out quite fast.

There are 3 main islands in the Seychelles where the hotels are located: Mahe, La Digue, and Praslin. You should always look for your hotels in these islands first.

The Seychelles has been recently known for providing a wealth of alternate accommodation that includes self catering villas, lodges, guesthouses, and small apartments. These are very cheap compared to luxury hotels and still provide a great accommodation especially for large families.

It is quite possible to negotiate directly with hotels to obtain cheaper prices or better deals. However, this cannot be done if you are booking well in advance although you may strike lucky if you are persistent enough.

If you take all these points into consideration, it is quite possible to find great deals on your Seychelles hotel. The most important thing is to make your research properly so you don't pick the first hotel you see as you always need some time to find that special deal that will make your trip to the Seychelles so worthwhile.

When is the Best Time of Year to Dive in the Seychelles?https://tripatini.com/profiles/blogs/when-is-the-best-time-of-year2019-10-16T17:47:47.000Z2019-10-16T17:47:47.000ZChalets d' Anse Forbanshttps://tripatini.com/members/ChaletsdAnseForbans

April-May and October-November are the calm periods in terms of winds and when the water temperature can rise to 29ºC with a visibility of up to 30 metres.

In December -January, the north-west winds blow with relatively the same conditions as in the calm periods, however a greater surface movement and some localised turbidity can be experienced.

From May-September the south-easterly winds blow leading to a decrease in visibility and water temperature to around 25°C.

What types of dives are available in the Seychelles?
The Inner Islands of the Seychelles Archipelago offers amazing granite reef dives where it is common to see rocks covered with soft corals and sponges, and a multitude of fish life.

Diving in a ship wreck is available in some areas but wall dives, drop-off dives and drift diving opportunities are only available on the islands to the south of the archipelago.

The outer island dives offer a rich and varied diving experience with everything from mini-walls and canyons to migrating Manta Rays, numerous wreck sites and some of the finest Gorgonian fans and other coral life.

What will I be able to see when I dive in the Seychelles?
Butterfly fish , Angel fish, Soldier fish, Squirrel fish and Sweepers are among the fruitful marine life enjoyed on the shallow inshore reefs of the inner island. Most would associate the Seychelles with tropical beaches and a haven for honeymooners, a playground for the rich and famous! Perhaps so, but visiting and exploring the Seychelles is affordable and yes it is a golfer’s paradise. They may not be blessed with quantity of courses but the quality and experience of playing here is a lasting memory.

Le Reef Golf Club (or Seychelles Golf Club) is a 9 hole golf course located on the main island of Mahé about 10 minutes drive South from the Seychelles International Airport. The course is ideal for golfers of all handicaps and is a good family outing. The layout of the course runs across a mangrove swamp and you should beware the local hazards - crabs are known to be the main culprits for “stealing” golf balls. (A great excuse for a free drop shot).

For the more serious golfer, there is the 18-hole championship Lemuria golf course located at the Lemuria Resort on the island of Praslin. A scheduled Air Seychelles flight or Cat Coco ferry will get you here from Mahé and is a great day trip outing. This par 70 course was opened in October 2000 and runs approx. 5,556m (6,105 yards) offering a great challenge to both professionals and amateurs alike. Chalets d' Anse Forbans would be pleased to assist you in arranging a trip to Praslin for a golf day out on your holiday in the Seychelles.

This spectacular course is not only challenging but also offers the golfer the pleasure of experiencing some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. The course borders the world renown beaches of both the Small Kerlan Cove and the Grand Kerlan Cove. The first 12 holes are lined with palm trees and the local crabs which hide out in the surrounding bunkers provide some of the hazards expected when playing a course of this nature. From the 13th hole, the course extends over the steep slopes of lush vegetation with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, surrounding outer islands and white sandy beaches.

While all the holes at Lemuria are truly spectacular, the 15th hole is undoubtedly the most awesome hole on this championship course. Golfers will be awed by the magnificent scenic views from the tees perched high up to the rocky ridge. You might be forgiven standing on the tee box wondering where the green is located? From the men's tee the hole plays an astonishing 50-metre drop to the green lying in the valley below. The beautiful white sand of Anse Georgette and the crystal blue waters lie adjacent to the left across a small mangrove marsh. For most players, this deceptively short hole will be no more than a wedge shot or an easy 9-iron. A large sand bunker protects the green on the left. Take your time to enjoy the scenery offered by this hole, but be sure to be accurate off the tee. Landing your ball on the green from the tee box will be remembered for quite some time.

15th Tee box and green
Par 3 (151 meters/166 yards)
There are no green fees for residents of the Lemuria resort and visitors are asked to call the hotel in advance to reserve and enquire on the green fees for a round of golf. Golf carts are mandatory given the nature of the terrain and the hot weather. Our tip is to play the course either in the early morning or late evening to prevent the midday heat which can be energy sapping and you could find yourself rushing to complete your round. So whether you’ve booked an early or a late tee time, take your time and enjoy this truly unforgettable experience.

Chalets d' Anse Forbans offers self catering accommodation on the island of Mahe Seychelles. The Creole language is reported to be an adaption of the 17th Century French with an influence from Africa as well as Madagascar. In 1981 the Seychelles Government made Creole an official language while the neighbouring country of Mauritius does not acknowledge Creole as an official language.Creole is the native language of approximately 94% of the Seychelles Population. However English and French are commonly spoken and written. The local Seychelles Newspaper providing the latest news on the Seychelles called The Nation would be one publication that is written in English and Creole. Creole is taught in the public schools and more and more literature and poetry are now published in Creole. English remains the language used in government and commerce. We have a list of a few sayings for you in Creole to test out while on your holiday in the Seychelles..Hello is BonzourHow are you? is Konman Sava?I am well is Byen MersiThank you is MersiVery much is Mersi BokouGood Bye is OrevwarWhere do you come from is Kote ou sortiWhat is your name is Ki Mannyer ou apele? My Name is ... It will be heard all over the market place in Victoria and on picnic sites all over the Seychelles Islands. You will see people dancing, smiling and just loving life. But where did the origins of the Seychelles Local Kreole Music and Dance come from? While to start the name given to the Seychelles Islands by the Arabs was Zarin Islands which many believe was influenced by the music of the islands. But if you can take yourself to a warm tropical evening under the stars and hear the sounds of the Island. At this time it would have been very diverse you would have heard from the Masters house the sound of European Instruments like the violin and guitar but not far off another very different blend of exotic sounds. The sounds would be a combination of the Tam Tam, Bomb, Zez, Malcalapo and Hand Rattle. It was during this time that dances where created or perfected such as the Contredanse, Camtole, Valse, Kotis, Moutia, Sega, Tingaty, Romances ... This music later evolved and varied from island to island. It is not know the origins of these dances but many believe it originates from Zambia or Senegal. But what we do know is the Seychellois have adapted and improved their local dances yet still be able to retain alot of its ethnic origins using songs and romances for all occasions. There was a time when Seychellois married couples came out of the church with their guests and they all left in a procession with musicians- two fiddles, a guitarist, an accordion, a drummer and a triangle.Chalets d' Anse Forbans is your Ideal Seychelles Holiday Accomodation on Mahe Island. The water is warm year round, but it is recommended that you bring a long sleeved rash guard... the sun is intense! Most of the breaks are over coral reefs, so reef booties can be useful.Seychelles has two seasons and these are wind seasons. The North-West Monsoon and the South-East Monsoon. The North-West Monsoon blows from Mid-October to Mid-May. The South-East Monsoon blows from End of May until end of September. When the North-West Monsoon blows, means the the east coast of Mahe is offshore. Beaches such as Anse Royale, Anse Bougainville and Anse Parnel start breaking when there is some swell. All three beaches break right and are easy breaks to ride. Anse Parnel is a short paddle out and a easy ride. Anse Bougainville is recommended for the experienced surfer as the waves become very hollow and breaks fast on a coral bottom. Anse Royale is a long paddle, almost 1 km out, but really a great wave when its working. When the South-East Monsoon blows, the west coast of Mahe is offshore. Beaches such as Anse Boileau, Anse Aux Poules Bleues and Grand Anse start working when there is a good swell. Grand Anse has a sand bottom and breaks right, but surfers must keep an eye out for the rip currents. Anse Aux Poules Bleues is a great left break and when it works surfers can get some nice tube rides. Anse Boileau has a long paddle out about 400 m, but a nice easy right.Looking for a Vacation Home to Rental while on Holiday in the Seychelles- Chalets d' Anse Forbans offers Seychelles Self Catering Beach Bungalows on the South East Coast of Mahé. However, interesting to note well before this on the 17th June 1939 a flying boat called GUBA 11 has flown to the Seychelles under its own steam.

The Seychelles International Airport continued to grow and more aircraft's landed on the island of Mahe to discover the Seychelles. On the 4th July 1970 saw the landing of the first jet aircraft the BOAC SUPER VC10. The gates where now open for tourism in the Seychelles.

A step back into the history: The Seychelles Directorate of Civil Aviation (DCA) was created in 1969 with a Director and three other employees. In 1971 the operations where conducted by Wilkenair, the air traffic control was carried out from a private house at Anse de Genet, the Fire Service was based in Victoria and only one Land Rover Fire vehicle was dispatched to the airport to attend to the flights while the meteorological station was situated at the Long Pier Road, at the old Port. The Seychelles International Airport has a runway 2987m long.

The island of Praslin airstrip, which is the second largest island in the Seychelles archipelago, became operational in 1972 linking the outer island to the mainland. In 1988 a project was undertaken to build up an aerodrome for Praslin. A Control Tower, Fire Station and Terminal Building was constructed and the runway was paved and extended to 1250m by 23m.

In 2001 the runway was further extended and the current terminal building was constructed. The

The Seychelles International airport is located on the main island of Mahé and is only 10 km away from the capital Victoria. Positioned beneath the overlooking green mountains and aligned along the coastline, the Seychelles International airport consists of an International and Domestic terminal.

The Seychelles International Airport has been through expansion plans both in the 1980s and in 2005/2006 and can now accomodate 800 passengers at one time.

Chalets d' Anse Forbans offers Seychelles self catering beach bungalows on the South East Coast of Mahe Island.
