Ask, do I want to be in a crowded airport, take a flight wearing a mask, be in another crowded airport, perhaps in a country with lesser health controls, stay at an all-inclusive resort, line up at food buffets, join a tour bus with another 30+people, board a gigantic cruise ship with 1000’s of other travellers, land at ports for more crowded tours, get on a train, stay in ginormous hotels or visit countries that do not have acceptable health, safety and security systems in place?

The fear of ‘C’ is now present with many of us. I believe there will be a tremendous rejection of inbound Chinese tours which use the bus, train, boat, plane to visit our villages, towns, cities, cultural sites, parks and wilderness areas in large groups (often wearing face-masks). And, do we want to travel to China?

Finally, will insurance companies be 'fearful' of offering suitable and affordable coverage for 'all' age groups?

We are still open to SME travel biz to list/link FOC direct booking offers by destinations and activities. TTTC is an excellent resource for travellers to plan for when the fear of ‘C’ has dissipated. This is a mktg and promo opp. to consider for post ‘C’ sales.

A Special Invitation to a Public Flogging.https://tripatini.com/profiles/blogs/a-special-invitation-to-a-public-flogging2019-04-21T16:15:07.000Z2019-04-21T16:15:07.000ZTony Humphreyhttps://tripatini.com/members/TonyHumphrey

Travel is fun, flogging travel is fun, so let’s have fun.

We are introducing tour flogging experiences so please come and get flogged and stay in one of our many floggee hotels etc available at this tour flogging link where you can get flogged by tour guide floggers.

Take a goodly gander at our flogging tours, flogging accomms and adventure and activity flogs all over this tiny planet. Spend your day while enjoying shopping in best of the malls and add a unique excitement to your evening in the city’s bars. Book cheap Flights to Dubai and visit the following bars:

360º Bar

The spectacular bar is located at luxurious Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The rooftop bar allows you to admire the scintillating view of Dubai skyline. The bar is considered as one of the best spots to enjoy top class cocktails in the city. UK DJ Magazine added 360º Bar to its list of Top 100 clubs in the clubs. Apart from sipping unique cocktails, you can enjoy live performances of local bands as well. To save money, take advantage of happy hours from 1700 hrs to 2000 hrs excluding Fridays.

Lotus One

The spectacular lounge-cum-restaurant is located on the ground floor of World Trade Convention Centre. Eccentric décor consists of glass tables, glass floors glittering fibre optic lights and sparkling drapes. The trendy feel of the lounge is enhanced by its hi-tech sound systems. While going through the list of cocktails, you’d come across five categories namely: Short and Sharp, Crushed and Smashed, Lively and Bubbly, Tutti and Fruity and Long and Fresh. Your visit to Lotus One is incomplete without trying Thai snacks with International twists.

Calabar

If you are booking Dubai Flights and looking to add a streak of Latin feel to it, spend your evening at Calabar located in Downtown Burj Dubai area. It has emerged as one of the most notable spot to enjoy after work hours. Apart from world class drinks, eclectic décor and refreshing view out of the window are few things that make Calabar an interesting place to spend your evening.

Do's and Dont's of Barcelona Nightlifehttps://tripatini.com/profiles/blogs/do-s-and-dont-s-of-barcelona-nightlife2011-10-18T16:09:30.000Z2011-10-18T16:09:30.000ZDanny Dhttps://tripatini.com/members/DannyD
Do dress properly for the clubs: guys no soccer jerseys, open toed shoes, or tennis shoes.

Don’t get rejected at club OSHUM and try to find other ways in. This includes one or more actions we did: climbing over a big fence around back, climbing a ladder to the roof and then into the attic, and eventually running into the club through the kitchen… despite what made a great story, we still didn’t last more than 10 minutes in the club

Do plan accordingly for your bills. Barcelona can be expensive and drinking excessively at a restaurant or bar WILL add up. So, before over-indulging, make sure you A know your way home and B have enough money to pay.

Don’t go to the Tap Bar- where each table has its own beer tap- and have a drinking contest between two tables without preparing to fork over some serious Euros… also make sure to keep tabs on the friendly girls who keep coming back to fill their drinks up on your bill. Finally don’t pay for what you knew you had drank and walk out because SOMEONE will end up with that bill- my roommate ended up with an extra 60 euro tab because of a few people who didn’t plan accordingly.

Do mingle with the locals and strike up conversation with a local of the opposite sex as I found that is how I best worked on my Spanish (on a side note… I have heard from multiple locals that having a girlfriend/boyfriend who speaks the language is the best and fastest way to become fluent).

Don’t assume just because the local women are rolling cigarettes that they 1 will be obliged to help you roll the certain substance you just bought off the first guy you saw in the street and 2 that the conversation will go anywhere after that because you just filled another stereotype of a “dumb American tourist”

Do indulge in the PDA in Europe. My communications teacher in Barcelona told me that they do not have a word for PDA (public display of affection) because they don’t believe kissing in public is any different than kissing in private- I’m just going off of what my teacher said.

Don’t make out next to a bunch of people on the late metro because you will quickly out-done. After a long night celebrating Carnival in Sitges, I found myself with a girl and basically alone on the metro. As we started making out- I guess the group of guys around us thought they needed to out do us as I glanced over and one guy was half naked and getting his picture taken by the other few… needless to say we were out done as I won’t mention the details of their actions.

Do pregame at bars before going to the night clubs- especially if you are looking to drink and haven’t yet seen the prices at the clubs.

Don’t show up to the club and spend 150 Euros on your first weekend night of your 4 month stay in Barcelona.

Do enjoy Las Ramblas and check out all the different acts/shops that are all along the street.

Don’t look at the prostitutes on Las Ramblas as if they are one of the sideshows… They might happen to see you leaving the bar and try to pickpocket you just in spite of you. I was almost pick pocketed by a prostitute (whom I had jokingly spoken to hours earlier). If it wasn’t for one of my friends catching on to what she was doing just before robbing me blind.

Do buy a mug or some sort of souvenir from Ovella Negra on Las Ramblas.

Don’t think you can get away with walking out with a mug for free, especially if soberly, two hours earlier you wanted no part in stealing anything.
Minus 5 Ice Bar: Chillin' in Las Vegashttps://tripatini.com/profiles/blogs/minus-5-ice-bar-chillin-in-las2011-07-11T19:31:42.000Z2011-07-11T19:31:42.000ZSteve Mirskyhttps://tripatini.com/members/SteveMirsky964

I know there are hardcore Vegas partiers out there who would snicker at the concept of an ice bar. I can hear them now: “It's a gimmick, why freeze when imbibing instead of kicking back at the poolside cabana?” or “I'm not going to pay a $25 cover for the privilege of sitting on a block of ice to toss back a vodka shot!” Before entering the Minus 5 Ice Bar at the Monte Carlo Hotel, I was even harboring some doubts....last winter was extra rough where I'm from in New England. Even now I'm nursing residual wind burn on my cheeks, a causality of digging out from yet another snow storm. I have wildly embraced summer this time...suffocating humidity, mind numbing heat waves and all.

Looking at Minus 5 as just another place to pound shots and take advantage of drink specials is to miss the point. The interior is sheer artistry and keeping it that way in the blazing Nevada desert is a monumental defiance of nature. Everything inside is made of ice...the walls, bar, tables & chairs, intricate sculptures of Mount Rushmore and a Zumanity character...even the glasses that hold their signature vodka-based cocktails are crafted from frozen artesian water imported from New Zealand. An on site ice sculptor continually changes up the ambiance re-carving the bar and sculptures every 6-8 weeks. Since the interior is kept at a steady minus 5 C (23 F), you are outfitted in Eskimo-like insulated jackets and gloves....that I found too thin while clutching my icy margarita. But somehow this discomfort is trivial while admiring the cavernous ice walls and bar illuminated with ever changing multi-colored lights...and I don't think it was the tequila.

Video & photo courtesy of Steve Mirsky.
