The Roman Temple of Jupiter in Damascus' ancient core

Built between the 1st century BCE and the 4th century CE and now standing at the entrance to the famous Al-Hamadiyah Souk, this once enormous complex is part of one of Syria's half dozen UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Ancient City of Damascus.
