On the southeast coast about halfway between Savannah and Jacksonville, Florida, home to some 15,000 islanders, St. Simons is the largest of Georgia´s Golden Isles, with a delightful mix of beaches, outdoorsy allures, historical sites, and restaurants, lodgings, and shops.
