I would suggest though a friend of mine who has done good work for 20 years with street kids and indigenous tribes; her name is Gail Nystrom The Costa Rican Humanitarian Foundation http://www.crhf.org/

  • Hike the Inca Trail with 0 impact on your wallet

How can you hike the Inca Trail for free? If you bring 7 paying ($650 USD each) friends (or enemies, your choice), you hike with 0 impact on your wallet. Must book by Dec. 31, 2010. (because we want your deposit before the end of the year)

What if you don't have 7 friends? Or friends who are employed? Well, not to worry. If you only have 4,5, or 6 paying friends, we feel sorry for you, but you can still come for half price. That's only $325 USD.

    We provide:

Hike ends with a grand, guided tour of Machu Picchu (if you're still breathing)
and we get you back to Cusco where we deposit you at your hotel.
